On behalf of the St. Mary Cricket Association, I would like to thank you and your organization for your generous assistance with the staging of our annual Youth Summer Cricket Academy. Your contribution over the past two years has gone a long way in helping our parish rise to the pinnacle of Jamaica’s cricket.

You have no idea how much your assistance means to us in a tough economic climate and at the appropriate time, we will display our appreciation in a more tangible way.

Our youngsters are rearing to go and send their regards.

Manchester Club in general and the tennis club specifically would like to take this opportunity to thank you and SDF for accepting and awarding our request for funds. Immediately the funds will be put to use on repairing our 3 tennis courts. We hope to have some fabulous pictures to post within a few weeks and you all are always invited to come by to see the progress or end product.

All the tennis members send you all big Cheers! As you can imagine, we have finally moved from dreaming of great courts to actually seeing the first steps towards that goal.

We realise that there must be many courts island wide who need assistance, so we are grateful for these funds granted to us. Our tennis club is located at the oldest golf club in the western hemisphere, so having pristine courts to better serve Mandeville, all of Jamaica and all our visitors from abroad, is important.

Again, none of this would have been possible if it wasn’t for you and your team at SDF’s consideration and inevitable generosity.

We cannot thank you enough for your kind donation of One Million Five Hundred Thousand Dollars ($1,500,000.00) which definitely helped with airfares to the 2022 Special Olympics USA Games in Orlando, Florida. The athletes trained very hard and they went to the Games and delivered. Special Olympics Jamaica participated in Athletics, Bocce, Open Water Swim and Swimming.

We captured 5 Golds, 5 Silver, 2 Bronze and 9 ribbons across all events.

Once again, thanks for giving our athletes a chance to showcase their talent on the world stage and make our country proud.

On behalf of all the members of the Linstead Community Development Committee we would like to use this medium to express our many thanks and how grateful we are for the contribution you’ve made towards the organization and our annual summer youth camp program.

The Jamaica Lacrosse Association would like to thank the SDF for their continued support for the development of lacrosse in Jamaica and on the international stage. Because of your support, we were able to send members of our Senior Men's, U19 Female and Senior Women's teams to represent our country at various World Championship events in 2018, 2019 and 2022.

Thank you SDF, and we are looking forward to a continued mutually beneficial relationship.

It is with a heart of gratitude and a spirit of great appreciation that the St. Catherine Football Association express its voice in saying a big thank you to the Sports Development Foundation for their contribution that led us to the success of our inaugural cook out event.

On behalf of the President, Council of the ASAJ, the Management Team, parents, and members of the CARIFTA National Age Group Swim Team who are scheduled to depart the island for Barbados on Thursday, April 14, 2022, we write to express our sincere thanks to you and the Government of Jamaica for the generous contribution of Seven Million Dollars ($7m) towards funding the preparation and participation of the CARIFTA Swim Team to the XXXV CARIFTA Swimming Championships, which will be held in Barbados over the Easter weekend.

Jamaica, who finished in second place at the last staging of the Championships in 2019, will be sending a team of thirty-three (33) swimmers and they will be accompanied by a management team of five including the team manager, two coaches, a doctor, and a physiotherapist.

Your contribution will not only serve as a confidence booster to our young swimmers, but it will also ensure that Jamaica will be represented by a full-strength team of all the available athletes at the Championships. Once again, thanks for affording our swimmers the opportunity to represent their country with pride at these Championships and we look forward to your continued support as we work together to build on and improve the standard of all the aquatic disciplines in which we currently compete at both the local and international level namely, swimming, diving, artistic swimming, open water swimming, and water polo.

The Jamaica Karate Federation appreciates the support of the Sports Development Foundation. The generous contribution will be applied to our federation's 2022 World Karate Federation Membership fees. This enables our athletes to maintain their eligibility to participate in international events and pursue long term goals such as the Pan-American Games and the Youth Olympic Games.

Karate is still being classified as a minor sport and does not get the kudos or hype that the more popular sports such as football, track and field, netball do. But two organizations that continue to give great support to karate in Jamaica are the Jamaica Olympic Association (JOA) and the Sports Development Foundation (SDF).

These two bodies have been extremely supportive of our Karate teams in their endeavour for advanced training and participation in overseas qualification tournaments.

These teams have achieved much success and it wouldn't have been possible without the JOA and the SDF.

Nuff respect and gratitude to both.

Thank you for your support of King of the Ring 2023 - Throws-Only Meet. It was an incredible experience to witness athletes from across the island show off their strength and agility as they threw themselves into the competition with tenacity and fervor. All competitors displayed a sense of sportsmanship that made for an inspiring atmosphere, full of camaraderie and passionate support. The rings of Excelsior remain a happy hunting ground for Jamaica’s discus throwers.

On February 11th at the 18th staging of the King of the Ring Traves Smikle threw the world lead of 68.14m in the men's discus, finishing second in the event was World Championship silver medalist Fedrick Dacres with a season’s best of 66.32m with Olympic finalist Chad Wright 3rd also with a season’s best of 59.74m. The meet was highlighted by some sterling performances. With over 600 entries, King of the Ring is undoubtedly the largest ‘Throws Only’ meet in the Caribbean and possibly the world. It was largely supported by most of the throws fraternity in Jamaica and continues to be an incubator for the next generation of Jamaican throwers.
