The GraceKennedy Money Services National Bench Press 2023 took place on July 15, 2023, at the Fit Farm Fitness Ground amidst scorching temperatures. The event witnessed a significant surge in athlete participation, drawing the attention of a growing number of spectators. Ms. Danielle Williams, the NPAJ Competition League Director were present to oversee the proceedings.
Powerlifting is a competitive strength sport that involves three lifts: squat, bench press, and deadlift. In Jamaica, Powerlifting is considered a nontraditional sport, leading to limited awareness and support from various stakeholders.
The Chairperson of the NPAJ Competition Committee Mr. Jeremy Owen, said the excitement is building as the National Powerlifting Association of Jamaica Limited (NPAJ) prepares for its highly anticipated event, the NPAJ Powerlifting National Bench Press Only 2023.
